The Purpose
Our goal with this program is to help educate under-privileged children.  In Haiti there is no such thing as free education   Each child is responsbile for his/her own books, tuition, and uniform.  Because Haiti is the second poorest country in the world, families struggle with this responsibility.  In fact, many children have no hope of going to school due to the death of one or both parents.  It is these children we seek to help through the Zanmi Mwen program .  Currently we have three christian schools and a total of 289 students.  Two of the three schools go to the 4th grade except for Maranatha Christian School which goes to the 6th grade. At this school our pass rate for the 6th grade National exam, that is required by the government of Haiti for a student to advance to the 7th grade, is 98%.  It is exciting to see how God is working through these schools.  With more funding, we can increase the enrollment and spread the Good News to more children in Haiti.

The Program
Zanmi Mwen is Haitian Creole for "My Friend."
Friends abroad can help children receive an education.  The program is simple and affordable based on an annual budget.  Each child in the program will have his/her school tuition paid for one year, all necessary books purchased (some of which can be used multiple years), normal school supplies provided as well as a complete uniform and shoes for $150 USD a year.
The Partners
You as a Partner/Friend can make a financial contribution that will go to a child that has been chosen based on certian criteria in order to provide for his/her education.  Because of our missionary status here in Haiti, 100% of the funds donated will go directly to benefit the child in the program, and none will be used in any way for overhead or operating expenses.  If you would like to find out more information please contact us through our contact page.
